FAQ
Cloud computing is a fairly new approach to solve some of the typical problems that are linked with today’s commonly implemented IT concepts. Yet technical and legal aspects around cloud computing still need to be fully standardized and will undergo a dynamic further development within the next 5 years.
While the necessity to accept the challenge of rethinking IT is clear, enterprises often react reserved when it goes to practical implementation. Many of them contribute actively to an interesting discussion:
Our software is not compatible with cloud computing
Most of the available vendors’ solutions make it necessary that an existing software gets specifically adapted to make it compatible for running in their cloud computing environment. On ScaleUp almost any business software can be shifted to the cloud without changing a single line of code.
When using cloud computing it’s not clear where our data is stored
Typically cloud computing vendors don’t make exact statements on where they compute and store their clients’ data. In general you can only choose between USA, Europa and Asia location but never get to know more. Since we know that your data is business-critical, we give you detailed insight on how and where data gets stored with ScaleUp. You can even visit us and take a tour through our data center to make sure that everything perfectly matches your enterprise’s individual IT policies.
Risks arise if the cloud computing provider is lacking financial stability
As we expect, in the near future a growing number of IT startups will offer cloud computing services to the public. But their successful continuity might be unclear. ScaleUp instead is a spin-off of internet4YOU GmbH & Co. KG, a German based Internet service provider. We build ScaleUp upon a profitable existing company that has been well-proven in hundreds of traditional IT projects throughout more than 10 years.
